Share some of your favorite plants, flowers and gardening tips with others and take home some new varieties and ideas of your own during the Michigan Wildlife Conservancy's 2010 Plant Exchange program.

Coordinated by Friends of the Bengel Wildlife Center, the exchange is held the last Wednesday of the month during the growing season at the Michigan Wildlife Conservancy's headquarters, the Bengel Wildlife Center, in Bath.  This year's program will start started May 26th and run through September 29th.

Plant exchange participants may bring as many perennial plant species as they wish to exchange with others, and can take home a variety for their gardens for a nominal donation of only $5 -- all of which goes to support the work of the Conservancy.

The only restriction is that known exotic, invasive or woody species cannot be exchanged.  It is not necessary to make a reservation to participate -- just come to the Bengel Wildlife Center between 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on the day of our monthly Plant exchange.  Plant exchanges are held rain or shine.  In the case of rain the plant exchange will be held in our pole barn.
