TALK ON COUGARS TO HIGHLIGHT LENAWEE CONSERVATION

DISTRICT ANNUAL MEETING  

The public is invited to the Lenawee Conservation District Annual Meeting & Director Election on Thursday, January 12th, 2012 at the Christian Family Centre on 1800 West U.S. 223 in Adrian, Michigan.   The evening begins at 6:00 p.m. with dinner followed by awards and a short review of the 2011 District programs.  The event should prove to be exceptionally interesting with guest speaker Dr. Dennis Fijalkowski, Executive Director of the Michigan Wildlife Conservancy (MWC), bringing a presentation on cougars in Michigan and their activity in Lenawee County.  With cougar sightings more frequently making the news in recent years, Dr. Fijalkowski will present MWC research and study work on the elusive cat.  There will be a question and answer period after the presentation.  

Tickets can be purchased in advance or at the door, but RSVPs are needed.  Tickets are $12.00 apiece for adults and $8.00 apiece for children age 12 and under.
